CCL Recovery Boosts Shengyi's Performance
December 5, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Increasing prices and the growing solar power applications is driving the rebound of the copper clad laminate (CCL) market. According to Guangdong Shengyi Sci. Tech. Co. Ltd, the company is seeing strong growth in the CCL, propelled likewise by the global demand for printed circuit boards (PCBs). <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
With <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />China expected to account for 30% to 50% of global PCB production in five years, the CCL business in the region is continually picking up.
At present, the price/earning ratio of Shengyi, a joint venture company of Hong Kong Mica-AVA Ltd, is only at 13:1. However, growing PCB demand is expected to strongly push the company's growth. In addition, optimistic forecasts especially in the low-end product and consumer electronics segments are expected to increase CCL sales.
