Taiflex FCCL Sales Surge in Q318

Taiflex Scientific's sales for electronic materials products consisting of mainly flexible copper-clad laminates (FCCL) surged by 30.1% sequentially and 10.9% on year to NT$2.63 billion ($84.9 million) in the third quarter of 2018, according to Digitimes.

The company reported consolidated revenues of NT$2.85 billion for the third quarter of 2018, up 19.4% on quarter but down by 11.7% from a year earlier. Digitimes reports that Taiflex has been scaling down its PV backsheet business since 2018, resulting in the on-year revenue decline.
