Words of Advice: Obstacles to Getting Designs to Fab
April 4, 2019 | Andy Shaughnessy, Design007 MagazineEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
In a recent survey, we asked, "What are the biggest obstacles you face in getting your design to the fabricator?" Here are a few of the responses, edited slightly for clarity.
1. Getting them to follow our design to the dot.
2. We need more second-shift designers.
3. Too many engineering changes.
4. Fabricators who go back on their capabilities after receiving manufacturing files.
5. Ensuring that we maximize panel utilization to minimize cost.
