Substrate-like PCB Demand Looks Promising

With more smartphone vendors looking to adopt substrate-like PCBs in their high-end models, and more other mobile devices including notebooks and tablets set to incorporate SLPs, SLP demand is expected to be bullish, according to a Digitimes report.

More smartphone vendors are expected to follow in the footsteps of Apple and Samsung in adopting SLP in their products mainly high-end models, said the sources, adding that there are already two China-based firms engaged in the design of new models equipped with SLP. In addition, other mobile devices including wearables, tablets and notebooks will increasingly adopt SLPs. Apple has already used SLP in its Apple Watch devices.
