Biggest PCB Maker in Thailand Purchases 2 Ucamco’s Calibr8tor Photoplotters

The biggest PCB maker in Thailand, specializing in the manufacturing of rigid printed circuit boards of double-sided and multi-layer boards, has purchased 2 Calibr8tor photoplotters from Ucamco.

"We were already familiar with Ucamco, as we started out with 5 UcamX CAM++ seats in 2018 via WKK Trading Co”, states a member of the board. “Since then, we have been growing our software department quickly, with the addition of 4 more UcamX CAM++ seats, UcamX SmartView and more Ucamco software products. We have experienced Ucamco's agility, both in technical support, the response time when needed, and steady improvements. We see nothing but advantages in continuing this partnership for the purchase of hardware.”

Ucamco customized 2 Calibr8tor 2000 photoplotters for this customer. The installation of the first machine was completed in July. The second machine was installed in September, at the customer’s request.

The same PCB maker is currently in talks to purchase a 3rd Calibr8tor photoplotter.

I-Connect007 Editor's Choice: Five Must-Reads for the Week

02/11/2022 | Andy Shaughnessy, I-Connect007
This week’s picks comprise a potpourri of published articles, a hodgepodge of helpful hints, and a brood of business news. Our collection includes several interviews from IPC APEX EXPO; we filmed over 60 of these video interviews that week, all shot with our new anti-COVID protocol. The boom microphones, selected so that we wouldn’t have to attach clip-on mics to each interviewee, gave our booth/studio an air of 60 Minutes. But unlike what we see in most news shows, almost all the news at IPC APEX EXPO was positive as companies emerge from the pandemic with even more innovative software, services, and equipment than before. It’s looking like 2022 is going to be a really good year.

This article is dedicated to various automation protocols, including some new ones just coming on the market, and covers hardware, such as PLCs and machine interfaces, as well as software and network protocols, such as MAPS, SECS/GEM, OML, CFX, IPC-2541, and custom software.
