R&D Circuits Acquires Interest in Anestel
February 13, 2008 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
James V. Russell, President of R&D Circuits and Darren Young, CEO of Anestel announces the investment in Anestel Corporation by R&D Circuits. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
"Anestel's technologies play an important role in the continued growth of R&D Circuits with their ConnectFlex(TM) brand interposers" states Russell. "They are a perfect complement to our board to board interconnect needs".
Armed with the knowledge that package test pitch requirements in the A.T.E industry have been encroaching on the capabilities of the Printed Wiring Board industry, R&D Circuits developed techniques to build the fine pitch capability into Space Transformers (smaller, HDI, pitch converter or translator) and needed to find the methodology to connect the Space Transformer to the traditional Test Interface Board. ConnectFlex(TM) answers that need.
"This transaction is definitely a win-win, not only for Anestel and R&D Circuits, but more importantly for the end customers" said Young. "R&D Circuits and Anestel already work closely together. This enhanced relationship will allow both of us to improve our ability to meet the unique needs of our customers".
The agreement gives R&D Circuits exclusive rights to board to board interconnect use of the Anestel products in their patent pending connection configuration. In addition, R&D Circuits has the opportunity to promote and sell the Anestel products in socket applications.About R&D Circuits, Inc.
