Advanced Circuits Upgrades Processes; Invests $1 Million in New Equipment
June 24, 2008 |Estimated reading time: 2 minutes
Advanced Circuits, the country's leading source for quick-turn printed circuit boards, today announced its $1 million capital investment for new equipment to enhance quick-turn capabilities and to provide redundancy throughout the fabrication process. By incorporating new equipment, Advanced Circuits is able to add more advanced processes and services while maintaining its commitment to offering customers the highest quality quick-turn boards and customer service.
"Our goal with this investment is to maintain 100% redundancy enabling our manufacturing plant to continue operating at full capacity," said John Yacoub, president and CEO of Advanced Circuits. "This new equipment will continue to help us complete customer orders on time, every time, and maintain the customer excellence we are known for."
Following installation of the Nickel Immersion Gold (ENIG) and Nickel Immersion Silver (ENIS) automated plating lines, Advanced Circuits continues to invest in the future and provide the type of expedited turn-time demanded by customers today. With today's uncertain world and market conditions, design and production decisions are being implemented in quicker cycles. Advanced Circuits continues to remain ahead of the industry with its focus on innovation for its customers.
As part of the $1 million investment, the following equipment has been added:
Polar TDR machine: Necessary to meet controlled impedance testing requirements.
Burkle 6 Opening Vacuum Press: With two lay-up stations, this press will be able to provide precise thickness/dielectric control, paving the way for multilayer expansion and the introduction of controlled impedance.
Orbotech Ink Jet Printer: Innovative new technology for silkscreen/legend printing, allowing finer silkscreen character resolution in addition to enhanced speed.
Accusystems AS 150 JE:Supports capacity requirements for scoring and provides the necessary redundancy desired in all departments.
ACS TruCure oven: Reduces cycle and cure time for soldermask and legend.
- Excellon 689 Drill: Augments capacity requirements while supporting the need for smaller holes. This drill addresses the industry's move towards smaller and tighter PCB technologies.
