PCB Design, Engineering Considerations for Medical Electronics Assemblies

Medical electronic assemblies have unique requirements that set them apart from other types of electronic devices, such as consumer electronic products. These include thermal management issues, as well as quality standards, such as ISO 13485. Medical electronic products makers must be aware of the special requirements of such assemblies, especially design issues related to the printed circuit board upon which the electronic components are assembled.
