PCB-POOL Offers New Innovative Service: "Watch 'ur' PCB"
September 5, 2006 |Estimated reading time: 2 minutes
PCB POOL, <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />North America's fastest growing prototype Printed Circuit Boards manufacturer has recently introduced a new real time service. The PCB-POOL concept, convinces two hundred new customers a month to use this service. Not only due to the low cost "cost sharing" principal, but also with first class customer service.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
For the past few years the possibility to track your order online has been amongst these services. The innovative electronic company has spent the last 18 months developing a way to seriously increase the scope of that information.
Watch "ur" PCB is the result, with its help the customer doesn't just find out that their order has been processed, they can now actually watch the progress of their Printed Circuit Board through each manufacturing stage. Customers can now log into their personal account and view high resolution photographic images of their current order.
Whether that is Drilling, Exposure, Tin Stripping, UV Curing, or Hot Air levelling (surface finish), the customer can view the printed circuit board as a large picture.
Previously customers would only receive a PDF file of the data prior to production, other competitors still use this format. The problem with such files is that they do not show the actual printed circuit board manufacturing image, they are only drawings so potential errors and faults are extremely difficult to spot.
PCB-POOL has taken this one step further, we have already recognised the importance of receiving high quality prototypes, now this new service will enable the customer to operate his own production control on every order.
The advantage of Watch "ur" PCB for the customer?
It is an easy and convenient way of monitoring the progress of your prototype order. The images available are exact representations of what the customer will receive. If there is a layout problem or a data issue, then customer can discover this long before he has the board in his hands. The customer can react much quicker, and send PCB-POOL new files for an immediate restart of production. The customer can plan in advance to remedy any errors, and prepare for re-design; therefore saving valuable time and money.
If the board is perfect, they will know this long before the delivery, and can begin preparation for component assembly.
Using theWatch "ur" PCB production monitoring service, the customer can have the pictures of his boards sent to him as a Zip file. On request he can even be informed by E-mail whenever there is a new picture available to view. This means he'll miss nothing, and can archive all his printed circuit board images for future reference.
