iNEMI to Hold Medical Symposiun

iNEMI (International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative), in partnership with MEPTEC, and SMTA (Surface Mount Technology Association), will be hosting the Medical Electronics Symposium 2016 on September 14–15 at Marylhurst University in Portland, Ohio.
Focusing on advances in electronic technologies and advanced manufacturing, the event will focus on advances in electronic technologies and advanced manufacturing, specifically targeting medical and bioscience applications.
Program Finalized and Registration Now Open
Two tracks make up the technical program for this symposium. Track 1 addresses Designs, Components and Assembly for High Density Medical Electronics Solutions with presentations from Indium Corp., KYZEN Corp., and Binghamton University among others. Track 2 will cover Next Generation Microelectronics for Changing Healthcare Markets with presentations from Cactus Semiconductor, Rudolph Technologies, Portland State University, and Intel. An iNEMI Panel Discussion will close out the two-day event.

Applications include disease detection, chemical monitoring, and drug delivery. There has been rapid market growth for bioMEMS technologies, and many bioMEMS devices are already commercially available. There is great potential for large-scale commercialization of microfluidic-based LoC and LoPCB technologies.
