Bay Area Circuits Open House Supports Tech Education
November 1, 2016 | Bay Area Circuits, Inc.Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Bay Area Circuits hosted its fourth annual open house on Friday, October 21, with customers, vendors and colleagues from throughout Silicon Valley in attendance.
This year’s event featured solar and electric vehicles on display from three local universities, all sponsored by Bay Area Circuits, including: CalSol’s solar vehicle from UC Berkeley, UCD Formula Racing’s electric vehicle from UC Davis, and Spartan Racing’s electric vehicle from San Jose State. The vehicles are designed and manufactured by the student teams to compete with other universities in national competitions.
“Supporting education has been an important initiative for us,” said Stephen Garcia, President of Bay Area Circuits. “It was great to provide some of the student groups we sponsor with a venue to show off their efforts, and, I think our customers really enjoyed the opportunity to get hands on with their environmentally-friendly vehicles.”
Over 150 people joined Bay Area Circuits in celebrating its 41st year in business. Guests were treated to tours of the company’s printed circuit board manufacturing facility and lunch provided by local favorite, Firetrail Pizza and their mobile wood-fired oven.
