Unimicron Reports Lower May Revenues

PCB maker Unimicron Corp. has reported revenues of NT$4.8 billion ($160.22 million) for the month of May, up by 5.4% from the previous month, but down by 4.5% year-on-year.

For the first five months of the year, Unimicron achieved total sales of NT$24 billion ($798.36 million), down by 5.67% compared to the same period last year.

China’s economy accelerated for a second straight quarter as investment picked up, retail sales rebounded, and factory output accelerated in March. Gross domestic product increased 6.9% in the first quarter from a year earlier, compared with a 6.8% median estimate in a Bloomberg survey.
