The worldwide PCB industry output value grew by 11.7% to $65 billion in 2017, according to data compiled by Taiwan Printed Circuit Association (TPCA). Digitimes reported that on-year growth was the highest in nearly 10 years.
The production value of PCB products rolled out by Taiwan-based makers in China and Taiwan came to NT$619.2 billion (US$21.1 billion) in 2017, up 9.5% on year, according to TPCA. Among the target markets, automotive and communications showed the strongest growth.Taiwan-based PCB firms are among the beneficiaries of the growing demand for new features such as 3D facial recognition and wireless charging for smartphones.

The Mars2020 Rover Mission, designed by JPL, is the next NASA Mars Exploration Program mission that is planned to launch in 2020. Some goals of the mission include to check for past signs of life, to help prepare for manned Mars missions, and to collect soil samples of Mars back to Earth.
