Elmatica announces the appointment of two new board members, former Secretary of State Torkild Hebbert Haukaas and former Senior Director at Cisco Jacob Nordan, to the board of directors.

“I am pleased to welcome our new members of Elmaticas Board of Directors. Hebbert Haukaas and Nordan are two very knowledgeable and experienced candidates with interesting backgrounds, which will be important assets to the board”, says CEO of Elmatica Didrik Bech.

Elmatica has been in the printed circuit board industry since 1971, lately, they have focused on the development of “software” solutions. These solutions are now ready to be commercialized on the global market, which has resulted in a demand for expertise and knowledge to strengthen this strategy.

Impressive Political Career

“Torkild Hebbert Haukaas has experience from private equity in relation to organizational development, growth strategy, acquisition, finance and commercialization. Hebbert Haukaas political career is equally impressive, despite his young age, holding the position as secretary of state. Jacob Norden is a pioneer in relation to commercializing the technology, digital solutions, and product development”, says Bech.

“I believe these gentlemen combined with our existing board represent a winning combination in regard to the strategy Elmatica has developed, I look forward to working diligently and methodologically with our board of directors,” says Bech.

Investing Tens of Millions

Elmatica has during the last year invested tens of millions in software solutions to digitalize the supply chain of printed circuits, and ultimately allocating resources to better handle, secure and document the purchasing process of PCB.

“Our focus on cloud-based solutions, computer systems, methodology, automation, “digital supply chain” and product development, now permeates all parts of our organization. It is with the gratitude and respect we thank our Board Members who are stepping down, Arild Bakke, Jørgen Bakke and, Geir Hantvedt. Their contributions over the last years, have been invaluable for Elmatica to reach the position it now has,” says Bech.

It’s been a busy week here at I-Connect007, an even busier week for PCB designers and manufacturers. This week, we published a variety of articles and news items. In this week’s wrap-up, we have an interview with Rex Rozario that is basically a historical look at the birth of commercial PCB manufacturing, and his involvement with the Rolling Stones in their early days. Then we bring you a look at trends in freight costs, which are—fortunately—heading southward right now.

I-Connect007 Editor’s Choice: Five Must-Reads for the Week

I try to not talk about the weather in this space, but this week I feel compelled. I’m based in the Pacific Northwest, and we’re relatively used to it being wet and rainy. But just south of us in California, the state has gone from what I read has been called the driest period in the West in the past 1,200 years to a right proper drenching. This week’s news cycle felt like one of those California-style “atmospheric rivers.” There was so much worthy reporting worthy that I was a bit overwhelmed in making my final selections. Suffice it to say that, this week, there is quite a bit of news that’s worth your time to read.
