Flexium Enjoys Profit Surge in 2Q19

Flexible PCB specialist Flexium Interconnect has reported net profit surged 64.4% on year and 108.7% sequentially to NT$240 million ($7.72 million) in the second quarter of 2019. EPS for the quarter came to NT$0.77.

Flexium generated consolidated revenues of NT$4.66 billion in the second quarter of 2019, up 7.2% sequentially but down 6% from a year earlier. A ramp-up in shipments for new smartphones lifted Flexium's gross margin to 16.3% in the second quarter from 11.4% in the prior quarter and 12.7% during the same period in 2018.

This year’s TPCA (Taiwan Printed Circuits Association) show held October 26–28 seemed to have lighter attendance than last year. Robots were on display everywhere, with lot of loaders and unloaders as well as the multi-axis, multipurpose types.
