Michael Gleason joins GreenSource Fabrication LLC
August 11, 2021 | GreenSourceEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Michael M. Gleason has recently joined GreenSource Fabrication LLC as director of product development.
Michael’s arrival will add more depth to the company’s vision of how product development needs to evolve; understanding market needs and develop products and processes that address those needs. While also being prudent business opportunities to continue GreenSource Fabrication on the growth path that was started four years ago.
Michael will create a Product Development Team that will focus on all aspects of developing products and processes, up to and including launching the products into the marketplace.
Michael has worked in the industry for 15+ years and brings a wide breadth of knowledge and experience to GreenSource Fabrication. Most recently Michael was a Principle PCB Manufacturing Engineer for Draper Laboratories in Cambridge, MA. Prior to Draper Laboratories Michael held various management positions for West Coast PCB fabricators. Michael is excited about our new facility and will be involved very early in the product development cycle, an approach he believes will revolutionize GreenSource Fabrication‘s position in the marketplace. Michael is; “…elated to be a part of such a forward-thinking and technically advanced organization as GreenSource Fabrication. As a former client, I had the opportunity to experience GreenSource Fabrication from a customer’s perspective. I am excited to join GreenSource Fabrication and have the opportunity to contribute to advancing PCB technology in North America.”
GreenSource Fabrication President George W. Whelen V said, “We are ecstatic to have someone of Michael’s caliber join GreenSource Fabrication. Michael shares our vision of helping to re-establish North America as a center of excellence and technology for the PCB industry.”

The Pulse: New Designer’s (Partial) Guide to Fabrication
01/31/2024 | Martyn Gaudion -- Column: The PulsePCB designers fresh to the industry may think that once the schematic is loaded into CAD and routed out into XY data, the finished PCB is an “exact” copy of their XY data. That’s not an unreasonable assumption for basic designs. Here, I’ll outline some of a designer’s considerations related to signal integrity as designs become more complex.
Designers Notebook: What Designers Need to Know About Manufacturing, Part 1
01/25/2024 | Vern Solberg -- Column: Designer's NotebookThe designer needs to have a working understanding of two key manufacturing operations: basic circuit board fabrication procedures and assembly process practices. For printed circuit board manufacturing, the number of steps required to produce the printed circuit board correlates to the circuit board's complexity. Greater process complexity in fabricating the circuit board equates to increased costs. To develop any portion of the electronic product, the designer must apply the design for manufacturing (DFM) principles established in the industry. In fact, DFM should always be the goal of the design engineer. It encompasses a wide range of disciplines that must be considered during the planning phase of any product.
Save Your Design by Understanding Fab Processes
01/16/2024 | Andy Shaughnessy, I-Connect007At PCB Carolina, I met with Laura Martin, director of applications engineering for Summit Interconnect. Laura has been at Summit for about a year, moving into the role from a similar position at Insulectro. She has now become Summit’s go-to design for manufacturing (DFM) expert, and she’s working to move DFM further up in the design cycle, eliminating unpleasant surprises at CAM.
Standard of Excellence: Selling to PCB Fabricators Now and in the Future
01/17/2024 | Anaya Vardya -- Column: Standard of ExcellenceFor the past few years, PCB fabricators have made improvements to keep up with your customers. We have bought new equipment, updated our processes, and increased our quality, technology, and performance to make sure we are providing our customers with everything they need to be successful. I thought this would be a good time to discuss and advise our vendors and suppliers on what they should do to supply us with what we need to succeed.
