Germany's printed circuit board (PCB) market posted an 8.1% sequential drop in revenues for August, and a year-on-year decline of 10.7%, according to the German Electrical and Electronics Industry Association (ZVEI) and Verband der Leiterplattenindustrie e.V. (VdL).
Likewise, incoming orders were down 24.3% year-on-year, mainly driven by the weak demand in the region, as well as the revival of the China market after the 2008 Olympic Games.
Book-to-bill ratio, however, increased to 0.87, compared to 0.82 in the previous month. Workforce however, was reduced as contracts for temporary workers ended.
