2009 HKPCA & IPC Show Offers Incentive; Close Collaboration
June 22, 2009 |Estimated reading time: 3 minutes
Joint organizers Hong Kong Printed Circuit Association (HKPCA), Association Connecting Electronics Industries (IPC) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangzhou Sub-council (CCPIT-GZ) will stage the 2009 International Printed Circuit & Electronics Assembly Fair (2009 HKPCA & IPC Show) with the theme of "Join Hands Leap Ahead" December 2-4, 2009, at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, China.
"Close Collaboration" is the theme of this year's show. This also suggests the way to lead the industry to survive the global financial crisis. With the strong commitment of serving the industry, the Fair Organizers has reviewed the market condition and decided to make the 2009 Show to better cater to the needs of the industry. One of the initiatives is the introduction of special discounts on booth rental to ease the cost concern of exhibitors.
"The industry is now in a restructuring period. Enterprises should take active strategy to safeguard their business. Building closer relationships among industry counterparts facilitates higher efficiency and it helps drag the industry out of the dark shadow of the financial turmoil. Given the discount, enterprises are now having higher flexibility to allocate their budget to strengthen their capability," said Kong Hoi Wing, Chairman of HKPCA.
The Presence of Whole Supply Chain for Better Cooperation
Seeing the needs of keeping a closer connection in the whole industry, the show will feature the whole supply chain, including material suppliers, manufacturers, equipment vendors and downstream customers, under one roof. The interactive meeting of all these parties at the show will help inspire new ideas and generate new business opportunities to rejuvenate the industry.
The show's objective to enhance co-operation has received huge support from the industry. Currently, approximately 250 enterprises have reserved close to 900 booths and confirmed their participation to the 2009 show. Some of the well-known exhibitors include C Sun, Elec & Eltek, Han's, Jadason, Meadville, Multek, Ofuna, Techwise, WKK, World Wide and more. The encouraging feedback shows the industry players' determination to transform the challenge to business opportunity.
Since its debut in 2002, the show has continued expanding in size and importance. Now it has emerged as the flagship PCB and EA trade show in Southern China. The 2008 Show, for example, attracted 32,522 visitors, registering an increase of 196% when compared with the same figure in the first edition. With the market recovery, the show will certainly attract a good number of decision makers who are keen to grasp new strategic partners and opportunities.
Get Ready for the Market Rebound
The stimulus plan for the electronics and information technology industry approved by the Central People's Government in February 2009 gives China's PCB industry encouraging news. According to the plan, the government will boost the industry by increasing the investment and expanding the domestic market with the development of the third-generation mobile communications network, Internet and digital TVs. With PCBs being the necessary components in these electronic products, enterprises can take advantage of this favorable development to revive their business. With the December time frame, exhibitors will grasp the perfect time to capture the latest market development and place themselves in the most ideal rebound position.
The show carries an array of on-site activities which include an International Technical Conference, On-Site Forum, Golf Tournament and Welcome Cocktail Reception, to facilitate networking and information gathering. For more information, visit www.hkpca-ipc-show.org.
