October 19, <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Taipei -- While most exhibitors are satisfied with the buyer turnout at the second day of the TPCA Show 2006 being held in the TaipeiWorldTradeCenter here in Taiwan, others are quite disappointed with the attendance at this year's show.
Satisfied companies say that it is not about the quantity of the people visiting their booths, but the quality of their interaction with these potential clients, and how they could capitalize on staying focused on the visitors they do get, however few they are.
Meanwhile, some say that the current exhibition is weaker in terms of attendance compared with last year's show. One top-level management executive even said that the HKCPA Show in December 2006 could have a bigger turnout due to the thousands of engineering graduates that would participate in the show to know more about the industry.
On the other hand, the overall mood is fairly good on the show floor--business as usual. One equipment supplier said that although buyers will only acquire one or two units, he is positive that these companies will soon send an email to buy more.
